SC Job Function: Operations

Operations Trainee is a 1-year comprehensive development program aiming at building up the trainee with a strong foundation in ILAS product and insurance operations to embark on a fast-tracked career with the Company. The trainee can expect access to career advice from management team, participation in strategic system initiatives and assistance to obtain industry professional qualification with company sponsorship. Upon satisfactory completion of the program, a promotion may be offered to the trainee as a recognition of the progress.

The trainee will work as a team with other colleagues to providing policy administrative service with our company core value to our distributors and end customers.

• Actively participate in the trainee program and complete all attachments to various Operations functional areas such as New Business & Underwriting, Policy Administration or Claims etc.
• Obtain required insurance qualification (e.g. Associate or Fellow, Life Management Institute) within expected timeline.
• Acquire processing authorities according to training plan.
• Participate in company projects as assigned.
• Perform end-to-end process review with recommend changes to procedures/processes and participating in their implementation to achieve savings in manpower or operating costs.
• Assist the manager to draft regular reporting and communication.
• Maintain an understanding and awareness on key aspects of life insurance, legislation, compliance and the market.
• Handle any ad hoc assignment by line manager.

• University graduate in any disciplines.
• Interested in building a career in insurance operations.
• Less than 2 years of experience in the life insurance industry preferred. Fresh graduate is also welcome.
• Knowledge of ILAS insurance product an asset.
• Self-motivated, a quick learner and a good team player
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Work well under pressure and able to complete tasks at a timely manner
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.  Good Putonghua is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing
