Heng An Standard Life (Asia) Limited launches new online Investment Choices Centre 

Parent company establishes the first Sino-foreign joint venture pension insurance company in Mainland China, further expanding the business footprint

Heng An Standard Life (Asia) Limited (“HASL Asia” or “the Company”) strives to develop a wider suite of "wealth and health” insurance products and services to satisfy customer needs. The Company has recently launched an Investment Choices Centre (“ICC”), offering a comprehensive and convenient investment choice search and analysis platform, which covers more than 200 investment choices that are linked to the underlying funds managed by world-renowned investment managers, in order to help customers grasp market opportunities along their investment journey.

The new ICC platform is a professional fund information platform powered by Morningstar Asia Limited, a subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. (Nasdaq: MORN), a leading provider of independent investment research (“Morningstar”). ICC offers investment information and tools with professional support in 6 areas, enabling customers to manage risks and obtain relevant information pertaining to different investment choices:

• Reference benchmarks : Underlying funds with Morningstar Rating^TM to give customers a reference for investment choices filtering
• Easy operation: Enriched searching criteria under an all-in-one screen, allowing customers to easily search for investment choices that meet their investment appetites
• Clear disclosure: Indication of derivative funds, and risk measures such as Alpha ratio and Beta ratio etc, offering customers clarity about the nature of investment choices
• Holistic information: Cumulative and annual performance of underlying funds illustrated in bar charts to provide holistic and clear representations of the performance and key data points of underlying funds at fingertips
• Timely information: Daily performance data update to keep customers informed of the latest changes
• Interactive and comprehensive comparison: Personalised investment choice performance charts and comparison illustration of up to 5 underlying funds, allowing customers to effortlessly analyse their selected investment choices

Furthermore, Heng An Standard Life Insurance Company Limited (“HASL”), the parent company of HASL Asia, was granted a licence by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (“CBIRC”) in December 2020 to open Heng An Standard Pension Insurance Company Limited, making HASL the first Sino-foreign joint venture insurance company to establish pensions business in Mainland China. The founding of the pensions business allows the HASL Group to provide customers with professional pension insurance products and services, further expanding its footprint in long term insurance business.

HASL has been growing in strength with steady profit growth, increasing asset size and ongoing excellence in regulatory rating. It received an A rating in Integrated Risk Rating (Classified Regulation) given by the CBIRC for the 20^th time in Q3 2020, establishing a solid foundation for the pensions business. Such an achievement, along with the Hong Kong subsidiary’s (HASL Asia) progress in developing the “wealth and health” insurance products, signify the overall strength of the HASL Group, giving customers more protection in various aspects.
